I just want to take a moment to thank my friend, Ellie, who recently sent me not only a generous gift in support of my trip to the Philippines, but a doppler to keep and use, both now and in the future.
A doppler is a hand-held electronic device that midwives can use to listen to a baby’s heartbeat in utero. It’s incredibly useful, especially in labor, and any time it might be hard to hear heart tones with only a fetoscope.
Ellie, thank you for blessing my life when I was in Colorado — and now. You are not only a mentor-midwife, but a sister in Christ. I am praying for our Lord to richly bless you!
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,
plans to prosper you, and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.”
